Amdocs Acquires Mycom Osi to Expand Its Network Services Assurance and Monetization Offering

Communications and media enterprise software and services provider Amdocs has acquired SaaS-based cloud networking and service assurance company Mycom Osi.

Amdocs acquired Mycom Osi for US$188 million ($264 million).

The acquisition of Mycom Osi will expand Amdocs’ network portfolio to include end-to-end service and network orchestration by providing key assurance capabilities to power the next generation of networks.

Mycom Osi’s service assurance suite includes performance management, fault management and service quality management, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to detect and predict anomalies and enable intent-driven closed-loop operations through automated remediation and AIOps.

It provides 5G insurance applications and solutions to several customers with 5G networks, as well as wireline carrier networks.

Its cloud-native solutions take advantage of cloud advantages such as scalability, cost and reliability, and support the converged network-cloud ecosystem.

“As the network and services of the 5G era become increasingly dynamic and complex, a holistic end-to-end approach is essential and can only be achieved with a powerful suite of insurance solutions built on the ‘IA. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome the highly talented and dedicated team of Mycom Osi to Amdocs,” said Amdocs President and CEO. Shuky Sheffer.

“At a time of rapid transformation in the communications industry, the combined scale and deep domain expertise will create a unique and broad range of complementary and innovative solutions, such as closed-loop automation to help service providers deploy 5G networks and services at scale. “, concludes the CEO of Mycom Osi Andrew Coll.
