HP Smart Tank 530 delivers reliable, hassle-free printing at an affordable price. It is designed to provide good ink tank experience and print quality for home users.
The coronavirus lockdown has forced most of us to stay home to contain the spread of the virus. Many of us have built work facilities in the quiet corners of our homes to earn our daily bread. A decent performing laptop, an always-on TV to know what’s going on in the outside world, internet connectivity, and lots of cables strewn around – that’s the typical field of work for many of us, isn’t it? it not?
It would be blasphemy of me not to mention the much desired (and necessary) printer for many people who are more comfortable reading vital documents on a plain sheet of paper. Here I have to mention the HP Smart Tank 530 all-in-one printer. An all-in-one, it can print, copy, scan, wireless and ADF (more on that later). Based on his month-long stay with me, I highly recommend him as a must-have piece of equipment for every home.
Let me first explain what ADF is. In multifunction or all-in-one printers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners, an automatic document feeder or ADF is a feature that takes multiple pages and feeds paper one page at a time through a scanner or copier, allowing the user to scan, copy, print or fax multi-page documents without having to manually replace each page.
HP Smart Tank is designed for high-intensity home and office users, powered by sensor-based ink tank technology that alerts the user before ink runs out. Luckily, during the lockdown period, the printer didn’t disappoint despite heavy use. The printer has the ink tank built into the unit which makes it sleek, compact and easy to fit into the modern home.
Setup is simple. Make sure your mobile device (phone or tablet) is connected to your wireless network and that you know your Wi-Fi password. On the printer’s home screen, tap the Wireless icon , tap the Settings icon, then tap “Restore Network Settings”. The printer resets the network settings and the Wireless light begins to blink. If you’ve never installed the HP Smart app before, open a web browser, visit 123.hp.com to install the app, and then follow the instructions on your mobile device.
If the HP Smart app is already installed, open the app. If the printer is not found, select “Add a new printer”, then follow the on-screen instructions. When the printer is successfully connected, the Wireless light stops blinking and stays on.
In terms of operation, the HP Smart Tank Printer allows users to print up to 6,000 pages (black) / 8,000 pages (color) right out of the box. Company officials say this is a high print volume at just 10 paise per page. As I explained earlier, the mobile experience and connectivity are enhanced with dual-band Wi-Fi, the HP Smart mobile printing app, and Bluetooth LE. The printer has Wi-Fi Direct functionality which allows the smartphone to connect to the printer without the need for an internet network.
Let me highlight some of the things I liked about the HP Smart Tank printer. First, its compact design is designed with space-saving functionality in mind. Second, the setup is simple and very easy, the printer can easily print, copy and scan from mobile phones, tablets and laptops connected on the same Wi-Fi network. Third, it promises volume printing decent at an affordable cost. Therefore, I highly recommend this HP creation which is an ideal machine for individuals and small businesses.
